ABOUT ME
Raised on classic movie musicals of the Hollywood golden age and a particularly beloved VHS copy of CATS (1998), I'm an actor with a love for crafting bold, authentic performances — bringing truth and energy to every role. With a background in both dance and music, I'm all about versatility, spontaneity, and making unforgettable moments on stage and screen!
My Story
Early Life in Texas
Growing up in North Dallas, my journey as a performer began with ballet at age three. By thirteen, I was a member of my local studio’s company, the Allen Civic Ballet, and danced the role of Clara in The Nutcracker. A year later, I received an offer to train full-time at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, but after performing a lead role in my first musical, my love for theatre and music performance was undeniable. No longer desiring to become a ballerina, I declined the offer with my sights set on the stage and screen, determined to be a “triple threat”.
In high school, I fully embraced the performing arts. Over a decade of piano studies gave me experience in music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading. I sang in varsity choir and a cappella groups, and earned first chair as a soprano II in the highly-competitive Texas All-State Mixed Choir. I served as president of the Thespian Society, earned several acting awards at one-act play competitions, and performed in over ten productions, the highlight being the role of Maria in The Sound of Music. Additionally, I led our Gay-Straight Alliance, advocating against homophobic bullying despite opposition from our conservative school administrators.
Professional Training
Recognizing the need to strengthen my acting skills, I enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and completed their two-year conservatory program. My training, which included Meisner, Hagen, Shakespeare, camera, and vocal techniques, transformed my understanding of the craft as well as life itself. Classes in Movement and Alexander Technique taught me to free my body of tension and gave me creative methods to craft specific physicalities for any character. I studied the International Phonetic Alphabet and used it to become proficient in dialects, discovering an entire universe that existed right inside my own mouth! After AADA, I went on to earn my BFA in Acting from Oklahoma City University. There I performed as the female lead, Claudia Roe, in Enron on the main stage, as Vivian Bearing in a staged reading of W;t, and as a supporting lead in the student-directed world premiere of The Last Daughter, all the while continuing to learn and grow in classes for acting, voice, and dance.
Who I Am Today
Since graduating in 2022, I’ve had the opportunity to explore different facets of performance. I’ve sung professionally with the Goode Time Carolers of Dallas, covering the alto part for over 75 holiday carols in
a cappella quartets performing at public and private events throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. I also spent two summers in the Palo Duro Canyon as a principal actor in TEXAS Outdoor Musical, where I enjoyed making use of my skills in horseback riding and trick roping. When I'm not performing, I am a licensed massage therapist, directly inspired by my physical training at AADA to give others the gift of a tension-free body.
As a queer, neurodivergent artist, my values and experiences deeply influence my work, driving the authenticity and passion I bring to every role. I approach this craft with empathy, spontaneity, and style, always open to new possibilities and eager to see where my path leads next!
